HEADLINE is a decentralized publishing platform built on top of Unlock Protocol, designed to help creators publish, monetize, and build community with stronger ownership. Instead of platform-controlled subscriptions, Headline explores token-gated access and onchain membership as a new way to support writers and communities.

Idea to MVP
Built in the early days of web3, the project had a clear tension: keep the experience familiar like modern publishing tools, while introducing new primitives: wallets, token access, and transparent ownership. The goal was to make decentralization feel understandable, not intimidating.
Your content, your income
Headline’s mission was to reduce creator dependence on centralized platforms by enabling subscriptions through token-based membership. By minimizing middleman fees and improving transparency around access and value, the platform aimed to give creators more control over revenue, audience relationships, and distribution.
The delivery bird
We built the brand around a pigeon: an enduring symbol of message delivery and community connection. Paired with high-contrast blue and soft grey, the identity feels direct, modern, and utility-driven, balancing “web-native” energy with editorial clarity.
Collaborator ready
Headline was designed for creators who build together, co-writing, co-managing membership, or publishing as a collective. The product experience emphasizes shared publishing flows and community-first distribution so collaborators can move quickly while staying aligned.
Designing for web3 constraints
Wallet interactions and token-gating add friction, so the UI prioritizes trust cues, clarity, and progressive disclosure, guiding users step-by-step while keeping the interface calm and editorial. The result is a concept, brand system, and MVP experience that reimagines publishing: creators own the relationship, and communities own the value.
